Personally, I think the girl was guilty, but because of typical Italian idiotic uselessness in contaminating the evidence, it was difficult to convict.
Also the way that she is going to be whisked out of the country I suspect that Obama had something to do with this with Berlusconi. Expect some announcement of invetsment in Italy very soon.
If the Italians start a trial and want her extradicted I reckon the USA will stick 2 fingers up.
I very much doubt that the British consulate or Embassy did much and only got involved 'cos of the media.
