My project in Germany was originally a simple one with a narrow scope.
This scope widened dramatically when I found out that the IT infrastructure nor architecture could cope with what they wanted. Also the Risk team as is normal cannot agree on what they want. So the scope expanded to include far reaching functionality and interfaces.
I have sorted all of this out and we are ready. Development done so far for this year just testing waiting.
Now this is done I have been told by email that my services are no longer required for next year. I am sure it's because they have cheaper people who can now come in and take over the easy bits.
please bear in mind that I am 6 weeks of lost earnings out of pocket as well, as the Programme Manager reneged on an agreement with my hours.
Or it could be that HVB MUnich which is a bankrupt bank taken over by Unicredit bank Italy is also bankrupt , from the point that they just raised euro 7.5 bln and will almost certainly need the same again once thier bond books have been revalued shortly.
Those reading my blogs know that I have hated every minute of my time in Munich, but I have to earn money.! Next week I have to go back and see the arsehole who sent me the email. Will I be polite? of course I always am, but won't go out of my way to talk to the arsehole!!
